Federica Amato, MD, holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering earned in 2017. In 2018-2019, she pursued studies at the University of Cork, Ireland, and later completed her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin in 2020. Her master's thesis centered on the automatic assessment of Parkinson's Disease (PD) through speech analysis.

Currently, she is a post-graduate student at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. Her primary research interests revolve around speech processing, with a particular emphasis on early detection of vocal disturbances in PD patients. Her work is dedicated to automated speech analysis, aiming for remote monitoring of PD and the early identification of speech-related issues. In addition to PD, her research aims to identify valuable biomarkers for detecting pathologies that directly or indirectly affect the vocal apparatus.
