In the present thesis, synthesis of powders and thin films of BiVO4 were explained. Powders of BiVO4 were synthesized using co-precipitation and hydrothermal synthesis procedures. The powders of BiVO4 along with Tungsten and Molybdenum dopant elements were synthesized using hydrothermal synthesis. The thin films of BiVO4 were synthesized using Doctor Blade, Dip Coating and Double Magnetron Sputtering techniques.
