Unite! Workshop | Concepts for Improving Urban Systems in Research by Young Scientists

Students and researchers interested in how cities can work better—socially, environmentally, and technically, the workshop "Concepts for Improving Urban Systems in Research by Young Scientists" aimed to explore innovative ideas for improving urban systems.
Through group work and discussion, the participants will develop new skills in identifying urban challenges, generating ideas, and collaborating across disciplines.

The event organized by Urban Innovation Centre will be held from 23 to 24 September 2025 at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wroclaw Tech), in Poland.

This 2-Day workshop, conducted in English, is open to doctoral students from all Unite! universities.
The registration deadline is 22 August 2025 at 01:17 p.m.

By taking part, you'll improve your competence in many areas:

• Understanding of Urban Systems and Development: Possesses awareness of how urban systems function and the key social, environmental, and technical challenges they face in contemporary contexts.
• Problem Recognition and Needs Assessment in Urban Contexts: Become capable of identifying relevant urban issues and development needs, drawing from observation, general knowledge, and interdisciplinary input.
• Idea Generation and Solution Orientation: Practice proposing initial concepts or directions for improvement in urban systems, supported by logical reasoning or creative insight.
• Collaborative Work and Exchange of Perspectives: Become comfortable working with others in a team, contributing to shared ideas and engaging in constructive dialogue across diverse viewpoints.
