Open Call | BIP Ivrea - Industries of urban living

The Department of Architecture and Design-DAD presents the new Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) 2025, with the title "Ivrea, Industries of urban living - Research design on shared public spaces", organized within the Erasmus+ framework in partnership with:
  • KU Leuven – Faculty of Architecture
  • FA_ULisboa – Faculty of Architecture
  • UNESCO Site “Ivrea, Industrial City of the 20th Century” and the City of Ivrea
Programme Structure
The BIP is articulated in two parts:
  • Online webinars and design training: October 10, 17, 24 and one additional session in November (20h lectures + 32h design training)
  • On-site workshops in Ivrea: November 10–15, 2025 (48h intensive design workshop)
General Information
  • Recognition of 4 CFU (extracurricular credits).
  • Participation is free of charge, including access to all BIP activities.
Eligibility
The call is open to Politecnico di Torino students enrolled in the MSc programmes:
  • Architettura Costruzione Città / Architecture Construction City
  • Architettura per il Patrimonio / Architecture for Heritage
  • Architettura per la sostenibilità / Architecture for Sustainability
Applicants must be enrolled for the 2025/2026 academic year before the start of the BIP activities (including the virtual part).

Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted no later than Monday, 22 September 2025, 11:00 p.m. (CET) via this Google Form.

Required documents
  • CV (max 2 pages) including personal details, phone, email, and language certification.
  • Transcript of records (Bachelor’s and Master’s), with professors’ names and grades (max 1 page).
  • Portfolio (max 16 pages) highlighting urban design coursework and extracurricular experiences.
Selection
  • Up to 10 students will be selected, with additional candidates placed on a reserve list.
  • Results will be communicated via email by 26 September 2025 (subject to possible deadline extensions).
  • Selected students must confirm participation following the provided instructions.
