Advancing the Chemical Industry through Computational Fluid Dynamics: Insights from Dow
In the framework of Erasmus Mundus “Multiphase”, the Department of Applied Science and Technology-DISAT of Politecnico di Torino promotes three seminars cover the topic of multiphase flows and their simulation for the development of sustainable processes.
The first seminar titled "Advancing the Chemical Industry through Computational Fluid Dynamics: Insights from Dow" will feature with the presence of Mirella Coroneo – DOW Chemical Company, Italy.
This lecture explores the pivotal role of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the chemical industry. The lecture focuses on the application of CFD in designing and optimizing chemical reactors and process units, emphasizing its critical role in enhancing sustainability and efficiency. Real-world case studies are presented to illustrate how in Dow CFD is used to address complex industrial challenges, to improve product quality, and to boost process efficiency. The discussion underscores CFD as a powerful tool for driving innovation, optimizing processes, and fostering sustainable growth in the chemical industry.
