Seminar @DISEG | Mauro Aimar and Marco Civera

The Department of Structural, Geotechnical and Building Engineering-DISEG is pleased to invite you to the upcoming seminar, which will take place on Thursday, March 14 at 5,00 pm in the Albenga Room (Entry 1 - 2nd floor).

The seminar will be conducted by doctor Mauro Aimar and doctor Marco Civera.

Mauro Aimar will present Performance evaluation and monitoring of bridges subjected to foundation scour highlighting the ongoing activities in this field. These activities are carried out within the framework of Spoke VS3 of the RETURN project and Spoke 7 WP4 of CN MOST, both funded by the EU. Specifically, advanced numerical modeling and ongoing physical modeling studies will be showcased. Additionally, brief descriptions of some on-site measurement case studies will be provided.

Marco Civera in his presentation titled Structural Health Monitoring of Civil Infrastructures will discuss the key activities currently underway in bridge monitoring. The focus will be on significant case studies, including a portfolio of assets owned by the Municipality of Turin and the local authority of the Metropolitan City. Following the presentations and discussions, light refreshments will be offered to all participants.
