Biografia

Cesare Donati received the BSc. in Computer Engineering in 2019 at Politecnico di Torino. Then, he specialized in Automation and Cyber-Physical Systems during the MSc., gaining theoretical fundamentals in the main areas of Automation and Control Systems.
He developed the Master’s Degree thesis in collaboration with the National Research Council (CNR), working on an innovative sensor fusion approach based on Kalman Filter. The main goal was to improve the position estimation accuracy of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle in an agricultural scenario, where GPS data are neither reliable nor always available.
After his graduation in 2021, he started his activity as a researcher at CNR IEIIT, focusing on navigation strategies for autonomous vehicles in precision agriculture scenarios. Then, as a pre-doctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino, his studies continued in the area of Filtering, Model-based Control and System Identification.
He is currently a PhD researcher in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, collaborating with CNR IEIIT. His research fields are related to structured physics-based system identification for prediction and simulation in the aerospace field.
