Abstract

The reduction of aerodynamic drag is crucial for the achievement of future CO2 emission targets, but current time to market stringent requirements shrink the time available to optimize the external shape and underbody with respect to this critical performance. The overall goals of this activity are the development of innovative procedures for extending the application of aerodynamic optimization while shortening the times needed by its use, and the demonstration of the benefits achievable on real application cases.
