- CO₂ capture: development of CO₂ capture processes using membranes, liquid solutions (focus on ionic liquids), and solid sorbents (focus on Calcium Looping); mathematical modeling, experimental validation on test benches, identification of innovative architectures, techno-economic modeling.
- CO₂ conversion and e-fuel production: development of technologies for CO₂ conversion and e-fuel production through Chemical Looping, integration with hydrogen production via SOFC, methane, methanol, and Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis via catalytic reactors; mathematical modeling, experimental validation on test benches, identification of innovative architectures, techno-economic modeling.
- Solar thermo-chemical energy storage: development of thermo-chemical energy storage systems based on Calcium Looping and Chemical Looping; mathematical modeling, experimental validation on test benches, identification of innovative architectures, techno-economic modeling.
