Biography

Marco Rinaldi received his BSc in Mechanical Engineering and his MSc in Mechatronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2019 and 2021, respectively. He is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS), Politecnico di Torino. He is a member of the Italian Professional Order of Engineers (Section A – Sector of Information Technology Engineering) since 2022. He has been a visiting PhD student at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Maryland, in 2023 and 2024. He is currently working on planning and control applications for enabling drone-based operations in urban air mobility context. His research interests include task allocation and planning for multi-robot systems, system identification and control for aerospace applications, flight simulation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and urban air mobility.
