Biography

Luca Barco is a researcher at the LINKS Foundation, specializing in Computer Vision applications and Earth Observation data analysis. He graduated in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Data Analytics in December 2021. In 2024, he started his PhD at the Database and Data Mining Group (DBDMG) at the Polytechnic University of Turin. His research focuses on the development of Artificial Intelligence algorithms and models for analyzing heterogeneous spatio-temporal data, such as satellite images, sensor time series, and texts. The main goal is to explore how integrating data of different natures can improve the performance of predictive and descriptive algorithms, contributing to a deeper understanding and innovative solutions for complex problems.
