Biography

I attended the Bodoni High School in Saluzzo (Cuneo). I subsequently obtained the bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and then the master's degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 2025.
During the Academic Year 2024/2025, I carried out my Master’s thesis consisted in developing, optimizing, and validating, based on the results of an experimental test, a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element model of a post-tensioned bridge beam that had been in service for more than fifty years.
Structural safety assessment of bridges is a relevant research topic due to different reasons (e.g., aging of structural systems, load conditions different with respect to original design). To this aim, numerical analyses have been more and more developed and represent a very useful instrument to assess the structural performance considering both geometrical and mechanical non-linearities. In this way, structural and seismic reliability analyses need to be implemented to evaluate the time-variant structural performance.
