Biography

Erica Scantamburlo is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Polytechnic University of Turin. Her primary expertise lies in mission analysis and space flight dynamics, utilizing mathematical and computational methods. She is currently working on multi-satellite proximity operations. In 2022 she served as research associate at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Pisa. In the same year, she defended the PhD thesis in Space Sciences, Technologies and Measurements at the Center of Studies and Activities for Space (CISAS) at the University of Padova. Her doctoral research focused on the application of Dynamical Systems and Hamiltonian Mechanics to study orbits of interests for astrodynamics in models that are more realistic than the circular restricted three-body problem. She holds a Master's degree in Mathematical Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, both from the University of Padova.
