Biography

Antonio De Marco is Associate Professor at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) of Politecnico di Torino, holds a Doctorate in Economics and Complexity at Collegio Carlo Alberto and a Master of Science in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He contributed to several research projects funded by the European Investment Bank, the European Patent Office, the Joint Research Center, and the European Commission. He is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management and serves as reviewer for several international and national journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, the Journal of Technology Transfer, Technovation, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Management Decision, Plos One, the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics, Venture Capital, and IEEE Access. His research interests are in the areas of the economics of innovation, the markets for technology, the economics of cities and urban areas, the management of intellectual property rights, and the economics of technical standards. Such topics are investigated with an empirical perspective and micro-econometric techniques. His scientific works have been published in refereed international journals such as Research Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, and the Journal of Technology Transfer.
