Biography

Alessandro Lovisolo (1998) is an architect and doctoral candidate at the Polytechnic University of Turin, graduated with honors with a Master's degree in Architecture Construction City from the same institution in February 2023.
His master's thesis, supervised by Professor M. Trisciuoglio, G. Durbiano, and L. Savio, focused on the urban morphology of Wuhan, titled "Wuhan, Hankou: Working on the Urban Regeneration of the Japanese Concession."
Throughout his academic journey, Alessandro maintained consistent engagement with two architectural firms in Turin, namely +Studio Architetti and Atre Studio Architetti, both during his Master's studies and in the subsequent period after completing his degree.
Currently, Alessandro is a doctoral candidate enrolled in the 39th cycle of the Architecture. History and Project doctoral program at the Department of Architecture and Design, Polytechnic University of Turin. His doctoral research revolves around a thesis titled "City Imaging: Visions, Narratives, and Images for the Development of Urban Forms."
The doctoral thesis aims to analyze the relationship between urban morphology and the city's image to understand how a deeper understanding of this synergy can influence future urban regenerations within the city fabric. Research focuses on various case studies within the Mediterranean context, with particular attention to Italy.
