Biography

Dingran Chen is currently a PhD candidate in the Architecture, History and Project program at Politecnico di Torino. His research is concentrated on urban design and urban heritage conservation, employing transdisciplinary approaches to investigate the application of innovative urban design strategies for the conservation and revitalisation of historic districts. He obtained a master’s degree from the Architecture Construction City program at Politecnico di Torino in Italy and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Huaqiao University in China. During the interim period between completing his bachelor’s degree and commencing his master’s studies, he worked as an architect and urban designer in an architectural design and research institute in China.
