Biography

Romisaa Ali Mouhamed Ali is a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino specializing in guidance, navigation, and control of robotic systems, particularly in developing adaptable and robust navigation solutions using deep reinforcement learning. Holding a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering (Communication) from the Sudan University of Science and Technology, Romisaa brings extensive experience in both control and communication systems through her role at Sudan's National Centre for Research (NCR), specifically within the Institute of Space Research and Aerospace (ISRA). During her tenure, she contributed to projects involving drones, satellites, satellite ground station operations, and high-altitude balloons. Her work focused on developing and optimizing control systems and enhancing system performance for aerospace applications.
Her research focuses on enhancing the Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3) model to improve robotic adaptability and navigation efficiency in unseen environments through randomized start and goal point mechanisms. She has presented at international conferences and has worked on diverse projects, including advanced navigation for Jackal robots within ROS frameworks and various aerospace initiatives. Romisaa remains dedicated to advancing the capabilities of intelligent robotic systems.
