Biography

Mattia Barezzi received his bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering at Università di Parma in 2017 and his master’s degree in Electronic Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2021. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. at Politecnico di Torino in the eLiONS (electronic Life Oriented iNtelligent Systems) research group (formerly MiNES), working on autonomous long-range low-power electronic systems for precision agriculture applications. In particular, the research is concentrated on water management, one of the most important natural resources, strongly threatened by climate change. One side of the work is focused on the realization of an automatic irrigation system for orchards based on industrial soil sensors, and the other side is about designing electronic elements for a new low-power chip for precision agriculture and, specifically, for the optimization of water usage.
