Biography

MS Degree: Electronics Engineering (Embedded Systems) 2023.
Research Group: DAUIN CAD & Reliability Group
Domain of research: Testing and functional safety.
The goal of the research is to improve the reliability and safety of embedded and HPC systems by applying testing methodologies. The focused methodology of the research is Cell-Aware Testing (CAT) which, unlike the traditional methodologies such as Stuck-At Faults and Transition Delay Faults that focus on the boundaries of the cells in the circuit, is a method to test integrated circuits which focuses on the internal structure of the cells present in the circuit and defines the possible defects in the transistor level. This methodology is effective in reduction of Defective Part Per Million (DPPM) in production of embedded systems, and is now being used in the industry as a new model to be tested both pre, and post production of the circuits. This methodology, being relatively new, suffers from optimization issues, such as run-time of the tests, which has become a bottleneck for the use of this method. Tackling this issue is one of the objectives of the ongoing research as well as defect analysis methodologies to further investigate the impact of the present defect models in the functionality of the circuit, and having a fault grading method to prioritize vital CAT defects of a circuit for fault simulation and automatic test pattern generation (ATPG).
