Biography

Ilaria is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) at Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with the National Research Council (CNR). Her research focuses on the development of intelligent and adaptive robotic system for rehabilitation, integrating robotic arms and artificial intelligence to design safe, human-like, and personalized robot-assisted therapies.
She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. During her Master’s thesis, carried out at the Campus Biotech in Geneva (EPFL), she focused on gait analysis in healthy subjects, patients with Parkinson’s disease, and individuals with spinal cord injuries.
She then worked for a year and a half as a research fellow at Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with Molinette Hospital (Turin), where she conducted research on sleep disorders analysis.
