Biography

The PhD project aims to define guidelines for the design of Human Digital Twins, conceived to dynamically and reliably represent individuals within complex and highly digitalized contexts. The research stems from the need to address scenarios characterized by high variability and complexity, in which pervasive digitalization introduces new opportunities as well as increased demands on the people involved.
Within this framework, the Human Digital Twin is understood as an evolving virtual model capable of replicating an individual’s conditions, behaviors, and states, overcoming static and rigidly predefined approaches. The objective is not merely process automation, but the development of human-aware systems able to adapt to the specific needs of the individual and to provide continuous and personalized support. During the first year of the PhD, a systematic review of the scientific literature will be conducted, with particular attention to technological solutions for the development of Digital Twins applied to remote care. The goal is to assess existing approaches, benefits, and limitations, identifying common elements and critical issues.
The expected outcome is the definition of guidelines and tools for the development of Human Digital Twins oriented toward remote care and personal support, with the aim of improving the quality of assistance and fostering effective collaboration between individuals and advanced digital technologies.
