Research topics

  • Prognostics and Health Management of robotic systems, both industrial and collaborative, with a particular focus on critical components such as the harmonic drive.
  • Study of novel prognostics and health management (PHM) solutions for actuation systems employed in aerospace applications, such as electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical flight control systems, landing gear actuators, aeronautical brakes. Past activities have seen the collaboration with foreign institutions (Georgia Institute of Technology) and companies (Collins Aerospace, Leonardo Velivoli, Lufthansa Technique, Piaggio Aerospace).
