Biography

I am a designer and sociologist, currently pursuing a PhD in Design and Technology at Politecnico di Torino.

Since 2013, I have been involved in research and teaching activities at the Department of Architecture and Design, where I serve as an adjunct professor in the Bachelor’s programs in Design and Communication and Sustainable Design for the Food System. My academic and professional work focuses on co-design, participatory design, social inclusion, community engagement, housing, and socially responsible design processes, with particular attention to reducing food waste. I hold a first-level master’s degree in Interior Design, a specialisation in Design for All, and I have completed a course in Social Impact Assessment at the School of Civil Economy.

In 2022, I published the book "Ai margini. Un'antologia di social design", PRINP, co-authored with Prof. Cristian Campagnaro (awarded the ADI Index and Piemonte Creative Award).

I have received several awards, including the New Star Award – Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents 2019 (UNESCO Creative Cities, with Raffaele Passaro), the First Prize SID 2019 (Italian Society of Design, with Raffaele Passaro), and have been featured in the ADI Index in 2023, 2019, 2016, and 2015 (Italian Association for Industrial Design, in collaboration with Prof. Cristian Campagnaro and colleagues from the Polito Social Design Lab).

Currently, my interests revolve around pluriversal thinking, decolonial and transfeminist critique, and critical reflections on privilege.

Finally, I am the co-founder of the association Innesto and former president of OrMe ETS, two organisations engaged in community-based initiatives and the enhancement of public spaces through urban gardening practices.
