Biography

Marco Vitali earned a Ph.D. in “Drawing and Survey for the protection of the Architectural and Territorial Heritage” from Politecnico di Torino, where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD). He currently teaches in the in the Bachelor’s degree in Architecture program (Laboratory of Drawing and Survey), in the Bachelor’s degree in Design and Communication (Laboratory of Project representation - Descriptive geometry and digital representation; Laboraatory of Business innovation and design - Digital connections and project communication), in the Master's degree in Eco Packaging Design: Systemic Innovation Design For Packaging Design. He is on the Board of the Doctorate of Architectural and Landscape Heritage. He is the scientific head of the two laboratories dedicated to the creation of physical models of DAD, the ModLAB Arch. and the ModLAB Design. His research concerns the areas of architectural survey, urban and environmental survey, descriptive geometry, and digital representation, fields in which he has published more than 100 works, including monographs and articles. He has participated as a speaker in many international conferences.
