Basak Ersöz Yildirim was born in Istanbul, in 1995. She received the B.Sc., and M.Sc. degrees from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, in 2019, and 2023, respectively, all in electrical engineering. From 2018 to 2020, she held the position of R&D Engineer, on Sensors and Mechatronics at BEKO, followed by a tenure at Ford Motor Company from 2020 to 2022, specializing in Multimedia and Connectivity R&D Engineer. Then, she continued as a researcher at Yildiz Technical University during her Master degree. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Her research centers on Advancing Mid-Infrared Imaging through AI-Controlled Optical Phase Arrays. With over 5 years of engineering experience, she specializes in adapting innovative systems for smart automotive applications to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations.
