Biography

Juan Medved was born in 1997. He received his master degree in electronics engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN-FRBA), Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2022. He worked in the Quantum Metrology department of the Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (INTI) and since 2023 is working in the Quantum Electronics and Nano Technologies group at the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRiM).

In November 2023 he started the PhD program in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in the topic of quantum electrical impedance metrology. The research work involves the realization of the impedance units (ohm, henry and farad) with quantum experiments with graphene and the implementation of ultra-low temperature and high magnetic field facilities. The precision measurements allowed by the infrastructure will be applied to perform traceable characterisations of novel materials and devices, in particular new Dirac-like materials for quantum devices.
