Description
Concepts such as ‘Vegetarian architecture’ and ‘Vernacular architecture of the 21 st century’ have been proposed to describe an approach that draws from nature-oriented agriculture, healthy nutrition, self-sufficiency policies, local development and respectful yet unfettered relation with traditions. Such theoretical stances advocate locality-centredness to support the socio-economic system and strengthen the relationship between urban centres and surrounding territories, and easy access and affordability to promote inclusion, while responding to contemporary priorities such as counteracting climate change and meeting present cultural expectations.
