Abstract

Quantum Computing (QC) is universally considered a key enabling technology that will allow solving problems unthinkable with classic computing, by exploiting the quantum properties of quantum bits (qubits). Practical quantum computers should integrate millions of qubits together with the electronic circuits used to control and readout their values. The key issue is that they need millikelvin-range operating temperatures and microwave excitations to continuously refresh, control and correctly readout their values. Solid-state qubits fabricated in ultra-scaled CMOS enable large-scale integration of millions of qubits onto a single a chip. Moreover, they can operate at higher temperatures (few K), a crucial feature to relax the refrigerator power constraints (i.e.,
