Politecnico flies to Lisbon for Unite! Student Festival

After a long warm-up, twenty students from Politecnico gathered at the first Unite! Student Festival, organized by Universidade de Lisboa, to join three days of initiatives around Lisbon city and ULisboa labs. From the 29th of June to the 1st of July, a community of 200 students from Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, shared visions on how Unite! can contribute to the future of higher education in Europe.

All working groups, which also included teaching and administrative staff, shared views and knowledge on relevant topics to the Alliance: Student Engagement in Unite!, Online Teaching, Sustainability and Energy Crisis, Inclusion, Diversity and Well-being in the daily life of students, and How to Communicate Unite!. Last day focused on results show-up, culminating in the celebration of all knowledge, inspirations and attitudes that enrich Unite!.

“ULisboa organization of the Student Festival was excellent. Students presentations highlighted not just the shared challenges, but also many possible solutions, key to Unite! future activities. We can say that the Festival gained positive feedbacks by all participants: a successful initiative with concrete outcomes for future Student Engagement in Unite! activities” pointed out Prof. Alberto Godio, Rector’s Advisor for Student Mobility and Erasmus+, also being Unite! Student Liaison Officer and Deputy Key Liaison Officer for Politecnico.

Diversity, inclusion and shared enthusiasm were the mail feelings during the Festival. Unite! is deeply committed to providing a space for dialogue, participation and active involvement for all its students: the Alliance’s future developments will show the tangible outcomes of this fruitful collaboration.
