“Inspiring People – Sparking Innovation” was the motto chosen by TUDarmstadt to welcome Politecnico and the other Unite! partner delegations to the tenth Unite! Dialogue and second Branding Conference, celebrating the Alliance’s fifth anniversary. The aim was to underscore the pivotal role of inspiration and innovation in fostering sustainable advancements within European higher education and research.

The second edition of the Alliance Branding Conference served as a bridge with societal stakeholders, such as the European Commission, which expressed, in the person of Vanessa Debiais-Sainton (Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture – Higher Education Policy), a truly positive feedback on what achieved so far, being Unite! concretely aligned with the EC missions and demonstrating a huge potential for future outcomes.

The Dialogue was, as always, a precious occasion for the new and existing teams to meet and work together, not only deepening their collaboration, but also defining long-term strategies and sharing experiences and results during the World Cafe transversal meetings.

As for Politecnico’s governing bodies active contributions, Rector Stefano Corgnati joined the Unite! Governing Platform; Professor Roberto Zanino, Unite! KLO for PoliTO, joined as Rector representative the Rectors’ Strategic Discussion, during which Unite! Rectors and Presidents shared their vision of the Alliance future development, with a focus on the strategic roadmap for Unite! in the upcoming years.

"Being part of Unite! Alliance is crucial for Politecnico - emphasises Rector Corgnati - University network and Alliances are the right place to imagine, nurture and implement together the European University concept, which is key to the future of European continent. This starting with University programmes, which must become increasingly coherent and consistent better prepare students and make Europe ready to meet the energy and digital transition challenges".

As for Politecnico, the award went to Carlos Castro, outgoing Unite! project manager for PoliTO.
