Another important achievement for PoliTO Team DIANA, the student team that aims to bring space robotics at PoliTO through research and the creation of terrestrial rover models competing in the Rover Challenge Series Competitions.

At the recent European Rover Challenge (ERC), held in Poland from August 29th to 31st at the University of Krakow, the team achieved a prestigious fourth place out of 126 teams from across the world, who competed in testing their prototypes, facing very challenging tasks on the Marsyard, which reproduces the conditions of the Martian surface.

The ERC is a competition now in its eleventh edition, showcasing the best of technical university teams in the field of planetary exploration. With contests designed to replicate the challenges faced by real rovers on Mars and the Moon, it is an opportunity for the new generation of engineers to prove their skills and creativity on a global stage, under the eye of leading industry experts and representatives from space agencies.

This is a significant achievement for the team, coordinated by Professor Fabrizio Stesina of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS), in collaboration with the STAR Lab PoliTO, coordinated by Professor Sabrina Corpino, also from DIMEAS.
