Enhanced cooperation between the Politecnico di Torino and Xi'an Jiaotong University

In the field of the activities of the Polito China Center in the framework of the partnership between Politecnico di Torino (PoliTO) and Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), a new collaboration project takes shape.

With the agreement signed in January 2024, PoliTO and XJTU have established the "European Innovation Center for Advanced Electromagnetics (EICAE)". Poised to fortify their research cooperation in the realm of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the EICAE is developed and coordinated by the School of Electrical Engineering at XJTU and the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications at PoliTO.

The EICAE is envisioned as a vibrant hub cultivating an environment rich in scientific and applied research. Key focal points include electromagnetic compatibility and resilience in electrical and transportation systems, along with the critical assessment of energy system reliability under diverse external conditions, including environmental factors.

The EICAE will not be just a research center; it will serve as a catalyst for academic and intellectual exchange. The Center will foster a seamless transnational interchange of students and research fellows, with a specific emphasis on the doctoral level. This partnership marks a significant stride towards advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and promoting international cooperation in the ever-evolving field of electromagnetics.
