ASP Day 2025: a journey of celebration and inspiration

February 6 marked a significant moment in highlighting the value of the Alta Scuola Politecnica, which, since 2005, has offered a parallel program to the Master's degree, dedicated to the most outstanding students.
Founded through the synergy between Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano, the Alta Scuola Politecnica selects 150 students per year from the top 5% of candidates for Master's degree programs in Engineering, Architecture, and Design at both universities. To date, twenty-one ASP study cycles have been launched. The goal of this excellence program is to develop innovative skills by deepening multidisciplinary knowledge, integrated with the active participation of students in diverse group projects.
ASP Day 2025, hosted in the Emma Strada Hall of the university, celebrated the conclusion of the 19th cycle. The event was opened by Fulvio Corno, Vice Rector for Education at Politecnico di Torino, and Stefano Ronchi, Vice Rector for Education and Learning at Politecnico di Milano.
Among the distinguished guests, Massimo Banzi, co-founder of Arduino and designer, shared his experience, discussing innovation through the development of cutting-edge projects by his company, aimed at improving and simplifying everyday life.
Following this, the four best teams of the 19th cycle presented the projects they had developed over the two-year program, explaining the methodologies used to advance their selected research and how their findings aim to contribute to societal improvement across various contexts.
The highlight of the event was the Graduation Ceremony, which honored the commitment and dedication of the students in this journey of growth and specialization.

After celebrating the newly graduated students, the focus shifted to the first-year Master’s students, who received an introduction to the program from Massimo Violante, Vice Director of the Alta Scuola Politecnica. Following this, the ASP Board presented the three ASP Schools, where students will engage in activities focused on decision-making, and explained the project management structure and organization throughout the two-year program.
In the afternoon, Andrea Airale, President and CEO of BeonD, as well as an automotive engineer and PhD in mechanics, delivered a presentation. Founded in 2013 as a university spin-off, BeonD has carved out a niche in the market thanks to its highly specialized advanced engineering services. Airale shared how his experience at Politecnico was instrumental during his studies and contributed significantly to his professional growth. BeonD stands out for its expertise in structural analysis, aerodynamics, thermal management, suspension systems, and noise and vibration reduction.
To conclude the day, Director Alessandra Oppio addressed the new students, encouraging them to make the most of this exciting new journey.
