CINECUG | "Gran Torino" by Clint Eastwood
The CINECUG film series, organised by the Equality Committee (CUG) of Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with AIACE Torino, returns with a new event. The series is dedicated to screening films and documentaries on highly topical social issues.
As part of the Welcome Weeks, Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino will be screened in Room R1 on Tuesday, on 6 October 2026, at 5,30 pm, in the original English version with Italian subtitles.
The screening will be introduced by Alessandra Colombelli, Professor (DIGEP) and President of the CUG, and accompanied by an open discussion in English, featuring contributions from:
CINECUG forms part of the CUG’s main areas of focus, including the promotion of equal opportunities and gender equality, the safeguarding of organisational wellbeing, and the prevention and combating of all forms of discrimination. Each event in the programme is intended to be an opportunity not only for entertainment, but also for discussion and dialogue, through the language of cinema, to encourage reflection on current issues of relevance to the academic community and, more broadly, to society.
