Searching for Ethnographic Methodologies for Mapping a Construction Process

The event titled "Searching for Ethnographic Methodologies for Mapping a Construction Process - The case of a Community Building in Rural China", as part of the seminar series organized by the China Room research group, will have as speaker Giulia Montanaro will present part of her doctoral research on Thursday July 11th (from 2,30 to 5,00 pm) in Sala Vigliano, focusing in particular on the fieldwork she conducted in some rural areas of China.
The work will be discussed with Albena Yaneva of Department of Architecture and Design-DAD and the attending PhD students.


Giulia Montanaro will present and discuss her ongoing doctoral research, which aims to investigate the transformation processes occurring in rural China through the construction processes of rural community building as a case study to explore the relationship that can exist between architectural practice, construction industry and resource management. The presentation will be discussed with Prof. Albena Yaneva and the China Room Fellow and the PhD students present. The seminar aims to be a round table where challenges are brought forward and discussed with those who have gained experience in the field over the years. The seminar, all in English, is open to all interested.
