Theseus Colloquia - Jonathan Ventura

The Rise (and Fall) of Design Anthropology

Design Anthropology has been around for more than a decade, yet has yet to fulfil its considerable potential. While highly influential, the question remains as why it didn't change the practice of design. This Colloquium will go briefly though the definition of Design Anthropology and ponder about its successes, potential and imaginary next step. In the end the speaker’s own imagination of Design Anthropology’s next iteration will be highlighted, which can be seen as a combination of social design and design culture.
