Biography

Zeeshan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in Politecnico di Torino. He has a Masters in Science degree in Turbomachinery Aeromechanics from KTH, Sweden, and AUTh, Greece. His research interests are related to the structural dynamics of turbine components especially the bladed-disks. He is currently investigating the experimental joint or interface dynamics between the blade and disk assembly. Since these interfaces are small and complex, measuring the dynamics is not possible by the conventional methods. Therefore, he aims to apply and test the current expansion methods and also developing new techniques to improve the identification of the joint dynamics. His research interests are mistuning, non-linear structural response prediction methods, joints identification, and frequency-based substructuring.
