Biography

Susana Fuentes Vélez achieved her BSc and MSc in Biomedical Engineering thanks to a double degree program between Universidad EIA (Medellín, Colombia) and Politecnico di Torino in 2018.
Under the supervision of Prof. Danilo Demarchi and in association with the R&D laboratory of the company Eltek S.p.A, she developed her Master Thesis: “Cell impedance measurements through a double approach: M4N and litho-fabricated microelectrodes and microfluidics”.
Since October 2018, Susana has become a research fellow in the MINES laboratory focusing on electronics systems for cell culture’s analysis. She cooperates with The Molecular Biotechnology Center (Università degli studi di Torino).
Her main research interest is found where electronics meets biotechnology.
