Biography

Carla started her PhD after graduating from Polytechnic University of Turin in Environmental Engineering, in 2016. Her research focuses on the use of statistical methods and complex systems' theories to track and address global performances of innovation and sustainable development. During her career she collected working experiences in the international research environment as a visiting scholar at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (2016) and the University of California in Berkeley (2019). Carla also works as a teaching assistant in the class Climate and Socio-Economic changes here at Politecnico. In 2019, with a joined forces team of researchers and investors, she co-founded the NGO named Young Guru Academy Italy, with the purpose of teaching young scholars about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through DIY activities. Carla appeared in the organizing committee of international conferences focused on the research topics of her interest: sustainability, environment, innovation, technology and complexity. Native Italian, she is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
