Biography

Born in Foggia in 1988, I received the M.S. degree from Politecnico di Torino in July 2012. From August 2012 until April 2015, I worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Enrico Magli in IPL (Image Processing Lab) at Politecnico di Torino, developing an ad-hoc compression algorithm for METIS (https://doi.org/10.1051/0004-6361/201935338). For the successive three years, I joined a company named DMA in Turin; my achievement was the development of a computer vision algorithm to automatically detect rail infrastructure defects from images obtained by proprietary sensing intstruments.
In 2018 I decided to move back to the academic world, starting a PhD under the supervision of Francesca Vipiana, with the aim of investigating and developing a prototype for the in-line inspection of packaged food through Microwave Imaging Technology.
