Biography

Antonio Servetti has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Control and Computer Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) since 2007. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 1999 and 2004 respectively. In 2003 Dr. Servetti was a Visiting Scholar supervised by Prof. J.D. Gibson at the Signal Compression Labora- tory of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he worked on selective encryption for speech transmission over packet networks. His research focuses on speech/audio processing, multimedia communications over wired and wireless packet networks, and real-time multimedia net- work protocols. With the advent of video and audio sup- port in HTML5, his interests also include multimedia Web applications, WebRTC, Web Audio, and HTTP adaptive streaming.
