Laboratory Authorization

Decree Law 81/08 states in Article 18, paragraph 1, letter e) that the Employer or Manager is required to take appropriate measures to ensure that only workers who have received adequate instructions and specific training access areas that expose them to a serious and specific risk.

In the case of Laboratories, this means that before allowing access to new operators, including students, proper information, training, and instruction must be provided regarding the activities to be performed, the risks present, the correct operational procedures, and the behavior to adopt in case of emergency.

This training and instructional activity must be provided by the persons responsible for the educational or research activity, understood as the teachers in charge of experimental or laboratory teaching activities, or the Laboratory Managers, possibly assisted by technical staff for the relevant parts (general equipment, testing machines, common tools, machine tools, etc.).

The training activity, which must be effectively carried out before the start of work activities, must be formalized and recorded on a specific paper form, indicating the exact date and signed by the Responsible person.

For this purpose, the following forms are available to be used in different circumstances:
