Biography

Designer and anthropologist with a PhD in Design. Lecturer in “Anthropology for Design” and “Circular Economy” at the Department of Architecture and Design, Politecnico di Torino. My research focuses on the integration of cultural anthropology and design (design anthropology) to enhance socio-cultural sensitivity and foster a critical approach in design practice and research, promoting processes of emancipation and social change. I work within the field of social design, adopting participatory design approaches, qualitative research methods, and co-crafting practices. I collaborate with third sector organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises to co-design products and services, with a particular focus on marginalized and vulnerable communities. My work also engages with material culture studies in relation to circular and sustainable design, with a focus on the social and cultural impacts of design interventions.
