Biography

Graduated cum laude in Environmental and Land Engineering (Natural Risks and Civil Protection) at Politecnico di Torino on March 2024, Luca Biamino is currently a PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering, focusing on Applied Geology field (SSD GEOS-03/B). He obtained the State Professional Qualification as Engineer. The main research interests include data analysis for site-specific hydrogeological characterization, interactions groundwater - litosphere in karst environment, development of numerical models and cross-disciplinary applications with geophysics, particularly regarding seismology.
The PhD activity focuses on the analysis of the interaction between infiltration water, air-rock-water temperatures and induced deformations in the lithosphere affecting the karst system of the Bossea Cave, following a multidisciplinary approach based on numerical modeling.
