----------------------------------------------- -------------------------------
Engineering is the leading Digital Transformation Company in Italy and is expanding internationally, with approximately 14,000 employees and over 80 offices worldwide. For over 40 years, it has supported companies and organizations in evolving their operational models, thanks to market expertise, advanced digital technologies, and proprietary solutions. It invests in innovation, research, and human capital, with a diversified portfolio and strategic partnerships. It operates in key sectors—Finance, Healthcare, Utilities, Manufacturing—with expertise in Cloud, Cybersecurity, and AI, developing digital ecosystems for continuous business transformation.
Join the Tech Talk and discover three different perspectives. Three professionals who work every day on research, data, and artificial intelligence with a single goal: to turn technology and innovation into real value.
- Research & Innovation - Davide Dalle Carbonare, R&I Project Manager
At Engineering, Research & Innovation isn’t an isolated department: it’s the engine that anticipates change. European and national projects, interdisciplinary teams, expertise ranging from AI to the cloud, IoT, and cybersecurity. But above all, concrete results. Our research projects don’t stay on paper: they’re transferred to business units, becoming solutions for customers. We’ll talk about ecosystems, numbers, and real-world experiences. And what it means to conduct applied research in a company like Engineering.
- Knowage: the value of data, made visible - Davide Vernassa, Technical Manager
In a world full of data but often lacking in interpretation, those who know how to read it make all the difference. Knowage is the open-source Business Intelligence suite developed by Engineering: interactive dashboards, advanced analytics, and decisions guided by concrete evidence. With an international customer base and increasingly strong integration with AI, Knowage exemplifies how product and specialized consulting can be combined. We’ll explore what it means to work on an open-source platform with enterprise ambitions: from technical architecture to the most compelling use cases.
- AI: Solutions That Really Work - Antonio Rosanova, Data Science Specialist
AI is everywhere. But deploying it in production, in real-world enterprise settings, is a whole different story. The Engineering AI team develops custom solutions for businesses and public administrations: NLP models, intelligent automation, and proprietary tools like EngGPT. We’ll discuss real challenges (dirty data, governance, scalability) and the custom approach as a model for making a difference, with concrete examples that speak for themselves.

The event will be held in Italian.
