Training in the framework of the project "Empowerment for Employability"

In the framework of the European Charter for Researchers, which includes actions to empower placement services for research fellows, PhDs and PhD candidates, Politecnico di Torino has launched a project aimed at preparing to the job market, strengthening soft skills and self branding capabilities.

The project is called “Empowerment for Employability” and involves experts of job search and outplacement, with the objective of making participants aware of their competences for a potential professional career outside academia.

The training includes 5 modules (3/4 hours each) and will tackle in 5 steps the construction of a career plan for each participant including professional objectives aimed at joining the job market.
The main themes considered will be:
Step 1 - Awareness on competence and possibilities of highly qualified profiles - February 5 or February 8
Step 2 - Formalizing career path and profiles - February 18 or February 19
Steps 3-4 - Vocational guidance and recruiting instruments mastering - February 26
Step 5 - Meeting the business world in recruiting and selection events - March 4

The trainig cycle will allow participants to know selection instruments (even online) and step 5 will involve companies that will examine profiles and evaluate the access to an assessment module. The training has been designed in a sequential manner, so the conclusion of each step will allow participants to enter the following one. It will be necessary to justify absences.
