Workshop "PhD Supervision"
The workshop, organized in the framework of the Action plan for the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers, aims to provide an update on international experiences and practices regarding doctoral supervision. This comes along with the overall aim to support the establishment of a highly productive and satisfying supervisory relationship both for the doctoral candidate as well as for the supervisor.
The initiative is held in English on November 30th and December 1st and is addressed to all professors of the Politecnico di Torino and in particular to those who have just started their supervising activity of PhD candidates.
The workshop is led by prof. Helmut Brentel of the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, who has long experience in supervision and doctoral training. Professor Brentel will deliver presentations about the thematic emphases and provide operating tools. Peer group coaching and individual feedbacks will be encouraged.
