The AI Act: a discussion on risks, ethics, and compliance
On Friday, 2 October 2026 at 17:30, the twenty-first seminar of the ESCAPE series, connected to the MSc programme in Cybersecurity, will take place in Rooms R1 and R3 at Politecnico di Torino.
The ESCAPE seminar series explores current cybersecurity topics through talks by experts from academia and industry. Starting from this event, the seminars will also be opened to the Unite! Alliance community within the “ESCAPE-UNITE!: A Shared Cybersecurity Seminar Series” project, allowing students, lecturers and researchers from Unite! universities to participate remotely. Recordings of the seminars will subsequently be made available through MetaCampus.
The seminar, entitled “The AI Act: a discussion on risks, ethics, and compliance”, will be delivered by Paolo Falcarin, Associate Professor at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The seminar will address the AI Act, discussing risks, ethical aspects and compliance challenges related to the development and use of AI-based systems.
At the end of the seminar, the usual informal discussion with the speaker and participants will take place.
The event is open to anyone interested in cybersecurity.
Further details are available in the event flyer.
