Tech Talk RINA - Material Design for Additive Manufacturing

RINA is an international group with a long tradition in the naval sector, now active in strategic areas such as energy, infrastructure, industry, and certification. With a multidisciplinary and innovation-oriented approach, it contributes to the sustainable development and technological growth of companies and institutions.

This Tech Talk will address technical aspects related to the metallurgical design of metal alloys, thermal and microstructural modeling of deposits made with different deposition technologies, the production and characterization of powders, and the mechanical characterization of components. The topics will be discussed using examples and industrial case studies, and an overview will be given of the open issues and how companies are addressing them.
AGENDA:
  • Introduction (Dr. Tassa Oriana, Head of Metallurgy Discipline)
  • Alloy Design (Dr. Tassa Oriana, Head of Metallurgy Discipline)
  • Thermal and microstructural modeling for AM deposits (Dr. Di Nunzio Paolo Emilio, Materials Design & Performance Senior Consultant)
  • Prototyping - powder production and qualification (Ing. Leonardo Fransesini, Melting & Casting Consultant)
  • Characterization of printed materials (Ing. Coppola Tommaso, Materials Design & Performance Principal Engineer)

At the end of the meeting, there will be a Q&A session and the sharing of internship/job opportunities.
To participate in the event, you must register AT THIS LINK by October 1.
Please note that the event will be held in Italian.
