Bending Spoons Tech Talk: How to tame an Elephant - modernizing Evernote's infrastructure
This Tech Talk with Bending Spoons will be led by Federico Cergol, Software Engineering Lead, who will walk participants through the complexities of revamping Evernote’s 15-year-old infrastructure.
This includes addressing technical debt, untangling legacy systems, and transforming the backend into a modern, agile platform that can meet today’s technological demands.
During the event, students will not only gain valuable insights into the technical and strategic challenges faced during this modernization process but will also receive a general overview of Bending Spoons as a company, its innovative culture, and its global impact, with over a billion downloads across its products. The session will conclude with information on job and internship opportunities, as well as a Q&A session where students can interact directly with the Bending Spoons team.
To participate, you must register HERE by November 4.
The event will be in English.
About the Company
Bending Spoons. Curious name, right? It’s from The Matrix, where the hero discovers that what seems impossible often isn't so. In 2013, when we were a punchy little startup, the parallel was fitting. Today, it’s more appropriate than ever. That five-person startup has become a leading tech companies—with 400+ bright, inspiring, and hard-working Spooners from over 35 countries. Our category-leading products—including Evernote, Issuu, Meetup, Remini, and WeTransfer—have been downloaded over a billion times and delight millions of people every day. Plenty has changed since our early days. But our mission remains steadfast. We’re still going all-out to make an enduring positive impact on our customers, on our fellow Spooners, and on society at large. And we’ve only just crossed the starting line on what we want to accomplish.
An impossible mission? Maybe. We’re all in on finding out.
